This is done as a sign of prayer we repent to Allah. There is no specific time set, may be made at any time when you shall feel sorry and want to repent to Allah. Preferably after we do the forgiveness, munajat, self-reflection ... and turn to God in the middle of a quiet night .. then followed with tahajjud etc ...

performed better for the sacred months of Muharram, Rajab, Sha'ban and Ramadan. Can be done by 2 rakaat / more.

NiaT

أصَلِّي سُنَّةَ التَوبَةِ رَكَعَتَيْنِ لِلهِ تَعالىَ
Sahaja Aku solat sunat taubat 2 rakaat kerana Allah SWT 

After reciting al-Fatiha, recite Surah al-kafirun in the first rakaat and in 2nd rakaat recite Surah al-Ikhlas 3 times.

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنْ الظَّالِمِينَ 

 فَاغْفِرْ لِي فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ

There is no god but You, for I have wronged myself with a lot of injustice.So no one can forgive sins except You.

Forgiveness-Istighfar

 

1. 100 times

 

أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ الْعَظِيمَ الَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيَّ الْقَيُّومَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ

I seek forgiveness from Allah the Almighty, there is no God but Allah, He is Ever-Living, is to stand alone and I turned to Him.

2. No limit

لَا حَوْل وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ الْعَظِيمِ

There is no ability (to obey your command) and no power (to avoid things that have been forbidden) except with the consent of the Almighty God.

3. Or with forgiveness and repentance that this simple

اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَتُبْ عَلَيَّ 

O Allah, forgive me and accept this taubat.

Repentance Prayer
